About this role

Through your role as a small animal veterinary surgeon, you will see interesting, diverse, and challenging cases. The learning program is tailored to your needs and includes supervised education from day one, through to performing and managing a range of clinical procedures independently. Your clinical supervisor will be available for consultation and guidance as you establish your case load.

Choose from one of our general practice hospitals in East Mornington, Dromana, Rosebud, or Rye Beach. Be guided by and enjoy working alongside our trusted team of vets and nurses, your clinical supervisor and your practice manager.

Beyond your team within your hospital, you will also have the support network of other new or recent grads, all at different stages on the same journey, who will share your experiences as you develop and become a confident veterinary surgeon.

You can also help shape future veterinarians by overseeing on-the-floor training for DVM students from the University of Melbourne.

Dromana and Rosebud Clinic Manager

About the role

We have a full-time position (37.5 hours) for an experienced veterinary nurse to work closely with our clinic manager to oversee the day to day running of our surgery team at our hospital in Dromana. Our roster consists of four weekday shifts and a one-in-four weekend rotation.

The position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Train and mentor junior nurses in line with training plans developed by the clinic manager
  • Monitor compliance with company standards of care
  • Monitor customer service standards
  • Manage day plans
  • Coordinate and allocate staff to various tasks to ensure clinic plans are met

About you
